What is QUBER?
QUBER helps you better manage your money through spending insights and fun challenges.
We have taken the age old concept of savings jar and made them digital! QUBER lets you create saving jars, automatically direct money into the jars, while at the same time helping you reduce spend on things you don’t really need.
What makes QUBER different from other budgeting apps?
Typical budgeting apps give you graphs and charts to help you analyze your spending habits.
The problem is, this information is in the past and too late to do anything about. QUBER lets you focus on what is important to you first, and then works with you, in real-time, to curb your impulse spending and keep you focused on attaining your goals. QUBER learns what motivates you to save, and provides meaningful suggestions for you to stay on track. Maybe it’s saving your change every time you buy coffee, cutting back on impulse purchases, or rewarding yourself when you workout – think of QUBER as your digital personal finance coach.
How much does QUBER cost?
IT’S FREE! QUBER is free to download from the Apple store and Google Play Store and there are no subscription fees.
I am worried about sharing my bank information, is it safe?
At QUBER, security is our top priority. We use 256-bit encryption and we are certified bank-tight secure. We have partnered with industry experts to ensure your information is safe and secure.

Should I connect my online bank account?
QUBER works with leading Canadian Financial Institutions to provide you a holistic, all in one view of your cash flow and banking transactions. You add your bank account so QUBER can help you manage your money and help you meet your saving goals automatically.
What if I have more than one bank account?
There is no limit to the number of bank accounts you can add with QUBER. Add as many bank accounts as you desire to get the most out of our unique QUBER features.
I am trying to add my bank, but I don’t see it in the list. What can I do?
Please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with the name of your financial institution.
What is my Primary Bank Account?
Your Primary Bank Account is the bank account where money will be taken from to save for your goal (saving jar), and will move into once your goal is reached or you decide you want your money back. The best account to choose for your Primary Bank Account is the account where your paycheck gets deposited.
What is the QUBER Vault?
You’ve asked for it, and we’ve listened. We know it’s hard to save when you can access the money and spend it on impulse. So, we’ve created the QUBER Vault, with the help of our trusted Canadian Financial Institution partner, where we lock your money away safely until you decide you want it back. That way, you can go out on Friday night and not be tempted to spend it!
When does money move into the QUBER Vault?
When you have accumulated $20 or more in your saving jar(s), QUBER will start the process to move money out of your Primary Bank Account and into the QUBER Vault. You will receive a notification when this process starts. Once the process starts, it typically takes around 1-2 days for the money to be taken out of your Primary Bank Account. You will see a QUBERVAULT transaction in your online banking. You will get a second notification once the money has reached the QUBER Vault.
Are there fees for moving money to the QUBER Vault?
Moving money to the QUBER Vault is completely free on our side. However, your bank could charge you fees depending on the type of account you have. You could be charged a fee from your bank for each transaction. You could also be charged NSF fees (usually $48 each) if the money is not in your account at the time of withdrawal. Check with your bank to see what fees you could incur.
How can I get my money from my QUBER Vault?
Getting your money back is easy. Each jar has an Options button that you can get to either by swiping left on the jar or by selecting the jar. Within the Options, you will find ‘Cashout’. Cashout will trigger the money in your jar to move from your QUBER Vault back to your Primary Bank Account. On average, it takes 2 days for the money to appear in your Primary Bank Account.
Why do I see transactions from QUBERVAULT in my bank account?
Anytime money moves into your QUBER Vault, you will see a debit transaction in your Primary Bank labelled QUBERVAULT. This is not a charge but a transfer of money from your Primary Bank Account that you provided to QUBER into your savings stored in the QUBER vault. These funds can be returned to your Primary Bank Account by “cashing out” in QUBER. Your cashed out money will be seen as a credit from QUBERVAULT to your Primary Bank.
Does QUBER get interest on money in the QUBER vault?
No, QUBER does not make interest on the money. The QUBER Vault is simply a facility to safely store your money while you are saving so you aren’t tempted to spend it.
How can I change my Primary Bank Account?
You can update your Primary Bank Account through the Settings->Bank Details menu. Click the edit button beside Primary Account.
Please note, you cannot edit your Primary Bank Account when money is in your QUBER Vault, or on its way to/from the QUBER Vault. To edit your Primary Bank Account, make sure all jars have been cashed out and money has been received in your Primary Account.
Every once and awhile, I’m asked to refresh my banking credentials from the QUBER Dashboard. Why?
As an extra security precaution, your bank periodically requests that you re-enter your banking credentials. Once you have re-authenticated with your bank, your transactions will be refreshed in the QUBER app.
How do Saving Jars work?
A saving jar is the same thing as a saving goal. With QUBER, you can save for anything you desire – from a new pair of shoes, a trip to Disney, or a down payment on a new home. You decide what you want to save for, and QUBER will help you reach your goal. Before you know it, you will have saved for your Vacation or that New Car you have been eyeing, without even thinking!
How does money move into my jars?
Good question! You decide how you want money to move into your jar, and we’ll take care of the rest. When you create a jar, you will be prompted to add a Saving Rule. The Saving Rule will fire automatically and money will move to your jar. You can also add money through Tap to Save or Add Spare Change features which are both one time transfers of money to your jar.
What is the Holiday Jar and how does it work?
The Holiday Jar was made to help you stay out of debt during the most expensive time of year – the Christmas Holidays. You decide how much you want to save (most people spend on average $800 at Christmas) and the date you need the money, we’ll make sure that your jar is filled by the time you need it by moving money weekly to the Vault.
I have created a jar, and money is moving into it, but it’s not filling up fast enough. Can I fill it faster?
You sure can. Add another Saving Rule anytime by swiping left on the jar and clicking ‘Save faster’ or by clicking on the jar and selecting ‘Add rule to save faster’. Add as many options as you like.
I have some money left over in my bank account that I’d like to add, is it possible?
It is. You can do a one time transfer of money into your jar, at any time, simply by adding a new Saving Option and choosing ‘Add spare change now’.
Help – I can’t afford to move money into my jars this month. What can I do?
No worries. It is simple to put your jars on hold until you get back on track. Each jar has an Options button that you can access either by swiping left on the jar or by selecting the jar. Within the Options, you will find ‘Put jar on hold’. This will stop any new money from moving into your jar. Keep in mind, any money that is in Pending or In Transit to your Vault will still be moved as planned.
I set a Saving Rule, but I want to remove it. Is this possible?
It sure is. Select the jar and click on the ‘RULES’ tab half-way down the screen. Select the trash can symbol beside the rule to delete it.
What if I don’t want to save for this goal anymore?
That’s no problem! Simply cashout your jar and choose to delete it. If you have money on its way to your QUBER Vault, you will have to wait until it reaches to fully cashout and remove your jar.
What are Saving Rules?
There are many different ways to move money to your saving jars, you get to find what works best for you! Here’s an overview of the Saving Rules you’ll find in QUBER:
Budget Challenge: We can all use some fun motivation to save. QUBER will challenge you to meet a monthly spend limit. If you come under the limit, we’ll move the difference into your jar. We’ll send you notifications throughout the month to help you stay on track.
When you spend money: Whether it’s round up purchases, tax yourself, or a set amount – you get to save every time you spend. You choose the store that you want to save at, we’ll track your spending, do the math, and move the money into your jar. Easy Peasy.
When you get a deposit: You decide the amount you want to save from your deposit, and we’ll make sure that the money moves into your jar every time the deposit comes through your bank transactions.
When you reach your fitness goal: You connect your fitbit account and decide how much you want to save when you meet your step goal, we’ll make sure that the money moves into your jar every time your meet that goal.
Monthly Calendar: You select a day of the month and the amount, and we’ll make sure that the money moves into your jar every month on that day.
Weekly Calendar: You select a day of the week and the amount, and we’ll make sure that the money moves into your jar weekly or bi-weekly (your preference) on that day.
Daily Calendar: You select the amount, and we’ll make sure that the money moves into your jar every single day.
What is the 52 Week Challenge?
The 52 week challenge is a fun way to save $1000 in 52 weeks. The best part is, if you meet the challenge, you’ll get $20 towards your next saving jar! The challenge is easy, it starts off slow by moving $1 the first week to the Vault, it builds up to $35 a week midway through the challenge, and then gradually drops back down to $1 the last week. Once you get over the hump, you are sure to succeed!
What is Tap to Save?
Tap to Save was born to turn daily moments into saving opportunities. You’ll see Tap to Save cards recommended through the Dashboard cards, when you tap on the card the amount specified will be moved to your saving jar that day. This is a one time transfer to your saving jar for that day only.
What is the Cashback rewards program?
Cashback rewards is a program that helps you reach your saving goals even faster. When you spend money at participating merchants, you get a percentage of your purchase back into one of your saving jars.
Who are the participating merchants for the Cashback rewards program?
I shopped at one of these merchants, how can I claim my Cashback rewards?
You can claim your rewards from the QUBER app. Go to Cashback rewards from the main menu, then upload a picture of your receipt. Saving money has never been easier!
How long does it take to receive my Cashback rewards?
QUBER processes all Cashback rewards once per month. Your rewards are only eligible for processing 30 days after submitting your receipt.
What information will I find under Cash flow?
It is important for you to understand how much money is coming in, and where your money is going. Cash flow is an important piece of any financial app, but sometimes it is more complicated than it needs to be. Wtih QUBER, quickly check your money in and out for the month, or drill down to the merchant level to see how much you have spent and compare with previous months. This data is gathered from your banking transactions and displayed to you in an easy to understand way. You don’t need a degree in finance to use this app!
I see some merchants in my Expense list that I did not shop at, how does that happen?
QUBER is continuously working to improve our merchant matching. If you see a merchant name that you do not recognize under your Expenses, simply click on the merchant. You will see the exact merchant description pulled from your bank account, and you can edit the merchant name so that we get it right going forward. By helping us, you’ll also be helping out other QUBER users too!
I want to change the Category of a merchant under my Expense list, how can I do that?
That’s great! QUBER is continuously working to improve our category matching, and you can help other QUBER users by helping us categorize your merchants. Click on the merchant name from the Expenses screen and edit the Category by clicking on the Pencil beside the category name. Going forward, the category for that merchant will be set to what you selected.
How do I reset my password?
You can reset your password within the app. From the Main Menu, select ‘Settings’->’Profile’. There, you will find a button to Change password.
How do I delete my QUBER account?
We are sorry to see you go and would love to know how we can improve. To remove your QUBER account you will need to cash out any money you have in the QUBER Vault. If there is money in transit to the Vault, wait until it reaches the Vault, then cash out the money. Once all money has been cashed out of the Vault, send an email to our support team to delete your account: email@example.com
How do I enable/disable Touch ID?
From the Main Menu, Select Settings. You will see the button to enable/disable Touch ID.
How do I enable/disable Notifications?
From the Main Menu, Select Settings. You will see the button to enable/disable Notifications.
What devices are supported?
We support Apple and Android mobile phones. Recommended iOS 10 or higher; Android is Marshmallow or higher.
In which countries is QUBER available?
QUBER is available in Canada. Canadian financial institutions with currency in Canadian Dollars can be linked to QUBER at this time.

Which language is QUBER available in?
